The art of The Walking Dead universe from AMC will showcase the art of the franchise, with original never-before-seen sketches, concept illustrations, storyboards, technical illustrations, promotional illustrations, special product illustrations and more. It is 240 pages in total and is described as an âin-depth compilation of the pre-production and behind-the-scenes artâ of all three series.
The art book marks AMC Networks’ first venture in publishing, and will feature an introduction by the Content Director of The walking dead Scott M. Gimple universe and facts from the show’s creators and crew. The Art of The Walking Dead from AMC marks the first time that the cast members of all three shows have been featured in the same work of art.
AMC The walking dead the universe was born with the first of The walking dead in October 2010, and has since expanded to include the accompanying 2015 series Fear the living dead and more recently The Walking Dead: The World Beyond, which aired in October 2020. Two more spinoff series are planned, including a series focused on the adventures of Daryl and Carol and Tales of the Living Dead, an episodic anthology series that will explore the stories of new and existing characters. The Daryl and Carol spin-off is set to air in 2023, following the finale of The walking dead, which is currently in its 11th and final season.
The art of AMCis the universe of the Walking Dead will be available in comic book stores on September 29 and wherever books are sold on October 5. It can be pre-ordered now in print and digital form, and a special edition will be available at Skybound Official Site, with a second exclusive variant available on TWDUshop.com.
