Arlington, Virginia – Gallery Underground’s Focus Gallery presents Art Unmasked, a group exhibition curated by Hernan Murno, in April. Murno joins Lesley Clark, Beverly Ryan and Marsha Staiger for an exciting mixed media show. Hernan describes the show as “Four artists who approach artistic creation in very different ways, but, at the same time, all fueled by a desire to express themselves with paint, ink, collage, wax and more, on paper, wood and canvas.. In this exhibition, during this short period, the viewer will be able to find relationships that transcend individual styles and themes.In addition, our main gallery presents new works by our members of the gallery, in media such as oil, acrylic, pastel, water, sculpture, glass and ceramic.

Gallery Underground, the juror gallery of the Arlington Artists Alliance, was named our region’s “Best Art Gallery” in Northern Virginia Magazine’s 2021 Reader’s Survey and received a 2021 “Arlie” as the one of Arlington’s “Best Stores” by ARLNow readers. . Located in the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Virginia, this visual arts venue showcases the work of established and emerging regional artists.

Every month the gallery changes its entire exhibition and presents a special solo, group or juried exhibition in the Focus gallery and a new exhibition of its talented members in the main gallery, in many forms: mixed media, paintings , sculptures, glass and ceramics. art. Gallery Underground anchors the visual arts component of Crystal City’s Art Underground and on First Friday (first Friday of every month) it hosts a free Opening Reception open to all from 5-7pm.
