Are you an artist or craftsman ready to dazzle the world with your talents? Have you always dreamed of being a published author? Then Walter Foster editions wants to hear from you!
As the world’s leading publisher of educational arts and crafts books for adults and children, Walter Foster has been teaching new and aspiring artists how to draw, paint, craft and create for almost 100 years. And in anticipation of our centenary, we want you to join in the celebration!
From October 1 to December 31, 2021, we invite artists from all disciplines to participate Walter Foster ‘Win a Book Offer’ Contest for the opportunity to create and publish an educational art book with us!
Aspiring authors are invited to submit entries in the following categories: drawing (any fine art medium), painting (any fine art medium), crafts (e.g. crochet, embroidery, polymer clay, jewelry making , etc.) and other art (mixed media, cartoons, paint casting, block printing, manga / anime, etc.).
Submissions should be educational in nature with practical tips, techniques and projects and / or step-by-step lessons that show how to work in a specific medium. The aim is to teach novice or novice artists and / or amateurs how to work with a specific medium or in a specific field. Think of it as a beginner art class in a book.
