Want to become an art collector? Well, Corey Helford’s gallery in downtown Los Angeles is having a new exhibit that you won’t want to miss.
This Saturday (1/8), The Corey Helford Gallery (CHG) in downtown Los Angeles will proudly ring in the New Year with their eighth annual Art Collector Starter Kit collective exhibition (ACSK VIII), showcasing new 12 “x 12” works by over 50 established and emerging artists from around the world, on display in the Main Gallery. New, smaller, more affordable works from artists everyone loves was the inspiring idea for the popular annual show when it launched in 2013. The show is back for its eighth installment and is bigger than ever, featuring the best artists of the New Contemporary art scene.
Art Collector Starter Kit VIII opens Saturday (1/8) from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Main Gallery, alongside a solo show by Josie Morway, titled Wealth and Hellness, in Gallery 2 and a solo show by Jasmine Becket -Griffith, titled New Works, in gallery 3.
CHG will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entry to the gallery, in addition, guests’ temperatures will be checked and masks will be required. 200 people at a time will be allowed in the 12,000 square foot gallery space, which will be monitored by CHG staff. After opening, CHG resumes its usual visiting hours (Thursday to Saturday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
