Santa Barbara artist Felice Willat has been named to Hot 100 list of 2021, beating out 4,500 artists worldwide to earn the honor. is a leading online journal for international art photography collectors.

Artists named to the Hot 100 list are selected by a panel of experts. The Selection Committee does not accept applications for the annual awards program; winners are selected based on the quality of work produced.

Willat said she was thrilled to be selected as one of these talented fine art photographers.

“Most of my work focuses on two areas – what I call living landscapes and natural landscapes,” she said. “Lifescapes capture contemplative lifestyle moments when people become one with their work, their environment, or this moment in time. Natural landscapes have an ephemeral and lyrical quality.

“Engagement with my camera takes me out of ordinary reality and into the world of possibilities where I thrive. I could capture a moment, something sacred or
banal. I love leaving the familiar, traveling to distant places and finding the gift of being present. My goal is to arouse these emotions with my art.

In Santa Barbara County, Willat exhibits at Los Olivos Gallery, La Cumbre Center for the Creative Arts, and Visual Artists of Santa Barbara at Paseo Nuevo. She has won numerous awards, including the most recent Outstanding Achievement (1st place) at the International Color Awards for her best-selling “Climbing Cardinals.”
