Netflix’s adaptation of the Konami video game franchise Castlevania was a success both critically and in terms of fan response, with the efforts of monster hunter Trevor Belmont and his comrades in their war against Dracula and his army of demons quickly becoming a hit for the streaming service. While audiences wait for the fourth season of the animated series, Dark Horse Books has plenty to keep them entertained: Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series, expected next summer.
The art of the animated series is a behind-the-scenes look at the Netflix series, offering concept artwork and commentary from all four seasons, including never-before-seen illustrations of characters, monsters, and environments from the series.
The book continues Dark Horse Books’ line of high quality art books; earlier entries in the row have notably books for The legend of Korra, Rick and morty and The Venture Bros., in addition to titles for video game properties like Cyberpunk 2077 and Eternal DOOM.
Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series will be released wherever the books are sold on June 23, 2021 for $ 39.99, and is already available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic book store.
