Tuesday, January 18, 2022

  • Preschool story time (10.30am – 11.15am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Join Miss Kim for stories and crafts based on a weekly theme. No registration required.
  • canceled* – Tuesday Technical Time (4:00pm – 5:00pm) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: Need help with technology? Library staff and teen volunteers will do their best to help you. Bring questions about e-books and e-resources. This is a fall event; no registration necessary. Sessions are limited to a maximum of 1 hour.
  • Art with photography for children (4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) @ Apothecary Artists, 1 Boston Rd: Apothecary Artists offers classes for children (fee and registration required). This week’s session is for students in grades 5-8. Using a camera, phone, or any device that takes photos, students will learn to play with lighting, angles, shadows, and more.   • Baby/Toddler Story Time (11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: This story hour is for children 0-2 years old and their parents or guardians. Each session will include puppets, stories and music. No registration required.
  • Let’s be creative for the kids (4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) @ Apothecary Artists, 1 Boston Rd: Apothecary Artists offers classes for children (fee and registration required). This week’s session is for students in grades 5-8. Have fun using a variety of materials to create a work of art. For more details, see the dedicated post.

  • canceled* – read to a dog (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Each participating child will have the chance to read a short book to a certified therapy dog. Children must be 5 years and older and have some reading ability. Please pre-register in the children’s room for a 15 min slot.
  • Campfire Saturdays (12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fees) required. Your ticket includes two hours at a private fire (we’ll light your fire for you), a private picnic table, firewood, roasting sticks and a kit to make six s’mores.   • ARHS Class of 2024 Chipotle Fundraiser (4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) @ Chipotle, 237 Boston Post Road West, Marlborough: Order dinner at Marlborough Chipotle and donate ⅓ of your bill to the Algonquin Regional sophomore class. For more details on how to support fundraising, see the dedicated post.
