RANDOLPH TWP. – Looking for a local place to engage with creative minds?

The Department of Art and Design at County College of Morris (CCM) showcases an abundance of artwork from over 50 visual arts, photography and design students at its Portfolio Class exhibitions in the Gallery of college art until Thursday, May 12.

“The CCM Art Gallery is always proud to showcase the portfolios of our art and design students,” says Gallery Director Brian Sahotsky. “Portfolio courses provide students with a valuable opportunity to conceive, compose, organize, install and exhibit their creative work as artists and designers.”

CCM photography and design students will showcase their final semester portfolio projects. This exhibition starts on April 28 and ends on May 12. An opening reception is held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 and a closing celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 12.

Both are free and open to the public and offer guests the opportunity to meet the artists.

Kelly Whalen, chair of the Department of Art and Design, notes that visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to view a wide range of works.

The art gallery is located in the Sherman H. Masten Learning Resource Center on the CCM campus, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph. Visitors to the gallery can park in any car park, car park 7 being the closest. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
